Both our old truck and the current truck have plug-ins, in the engine compartment. We never used the one in the 93, nor have we used the one in the 99. I'm not even sure where the one in the 99 is, though my dad assured me it was there. (He never used it either.) Both trucks appeared to be built in Canada, so it isn't surprising.

The book may call for 10w30, but you could safely use 0w40 synthetic year round. Mobil 1 has it, Walmart stocks it.

I use that in my Euro-sedan. Haven't seen it at Walmart around here. Have to go to autoparts stores for more $$. Haven't needed to use it with the Jeeps. And I DID get it started at -23F the one time. At home I'll use an electric pan heater for those subzero nights. Power wasn't available in the lot in Butte.
