5 French Friends on an American Road Trip

This is my story, inspired by all of yours that made me dream so much.

To give you the context, we are 5 friends from the same school (INSA de Rennes) in France and we traveled from 3rd to 28th of June 2013, just after we took our exams, and I must tell you that was pretty cool.

Here are the different steps, with what we did there :

• 7 days in San Francisco (Golden Gate Bridge, Alcatraz, Twin Peaks, Chinatown, Cable car, Lombard St, Sausalito, Gospel Mass, Golden Gate Park, Downtown, Pier 39, ...)

• 10 days on a Road Trip with an RV (or motorhome) (Yosemite, Sequoia Park, Santa Barbara, Malibu, Santa Monica, Venice, Los Angeles, Grand Canyon, Monument Valley, Antilope Canyon, Horseshoe Bend, Bryce Canyon, Zion Park)

• 4 days in Las Vegas (EDC festival (Afrojack, Sean Paul), Caesars Palace, Bellagio, Paris Las Vegas, Stratosphere, New-York New-York Roller Coaster, ...)

• 4 days in New York (Rockefeller Center (Top of the Rock), Brooklyn Bridge, World Trade Center, Harlem, RoofTop (Bar on the top of a bulding), Upper West Side, Central Park, Times Square, Liberty Statue, ...)

If it can help some of you, this is our budget for one person during our holiday :

◘ Flights : $1050 or 800 € => $750 or 500€ for Paris-New York (Return) with Jet Airways (interesting prices) + $175 or 130€ for New York-San Francisco (One Way) + $220 or 160€ for Las Vegas-New York (One Way)
◘ Motorhome : $500 or 350€ => $330 or 250€ for the rent (Large RV Cruise America 7 seats) + $150 or 100€ of gasoline (approximatly 3600km or 2000 miles )
◘ Hotels : $600 or 450€ => $275 or 200€ in a youth hostel in San Francisco (Adelaïde Hostel) + $150 or 100€ in Las Vegas (Desert Rose Resort) + $210 or 150€ in New York (New York budget inn)
◘ Activities and Tours : $1050 or 800€ (National Parks fees, Museums, Parties, Cooking (Go for the simple option and cook for yourselves if you're 5 or more),...)
