San Francisco to Atlanta

I am planning to drive from San Francisco to Atlanta with my husband in June 2014, I don't know whether to stay in budget hotels/motels and hire a car or to hire a motor home. Anyone got any tips?

The right answer for you is going to depend upon what you're trying to get out of your trip.

If you're looking for the cheapest option, then you can expect a car/motel trip to be significantly cheaper. There may be other lifestyle and enjoyment factors that could make an RV worth the extra money, but financially, the higher rental costs, extra fuel, and campground fees make it cost quite a bit more.
