These pictures were taken atop Elk Mountain in the Wichita Mountains Wildlife Refuge (est. 1901). It's about a 45 minute hike from bottom to top. one of my favorite hiking spots, it'll wind you going up but the views are amazing!

Plus there's always the excitement of how to avoid the buffalo that is standing right on the trail to get back down!
