South and Southeast: Public Campgrounds Along the Civil War "Trail"

This thread will include 3 trips, which could be taken separately or connected together. Trip 3 can be connected with Trip 2 (in the East Coast section) simply by taking US-17 south to I-95 south to Charleston.

Trip 3: Georgia (includes sites in Savannah, Stone Mountain, Atlanta, and Chickamauga-Chattanooga)


Trip 4: Alabama (includes sites in Birmingham, Montgomery and Mobile Bay)


Trip 5: Tennessee and Mississippi (includes sites in Chattanooga, Murfreesboro, Nashville, Franklin, Shiloh, Tupelo, Vicksburg, Biloxi, and Gulf Islands)
