New York To Orlando

Hi there, so pleased i've found a forum to help me with my planning :)

We are driving from New York To Orlando in late March 2009 and i could do with any advice you can all give me regarding route, sights, etc.

I'm thinking of doing the Blue Ridge Parkway rather than i95 - so ideas along that route would be wonderful.

Have decided we want to stay away from big cities and try and find "small town America" also chilli fries would be nice :)

I got plenty of time to plan this but am sooooo excited i gotta start now.

Have order a couple of travel books but i'm hoping you guys can help me more.

I'm thinking of doing the Blue Ridge Parkway rather than i95 - so ideas along that route would be wonderful.

It really depends on the weather in late March -- the parkway can be very slick when it is icy on top. And many of the attractions will still be closed. But here are some ideas:
