  1. Default Spring Break/Havasu city?

Has anybody done Spring Break in Havasu city, AZ? I figure its not too early to start planning for next year.

Isn't there an area down by Parker dam where the boats form flotillas and play all day? Maybe I could rent a small houseboat and stay there a few days.

But I have no clue where to start planning.

    Default looking for?

    Welcome to the RTA Forum!

You are right that it is never too early to start planning. I'm not exactly sure how popular Havasu is for Spring Break, but I'm sure it wouldn't be hard to have fun on the river.

Where will you be starting from? How long do you have? Are you looking to do anything other than stop in one city?

Russ, most of the serious partying is right next to London Bridge and it is true, that there are so many boats that at parts of the day, a nimble person can walk across the river by stepping on boats. There are even more river craft and young men and women partying on the river up by Laughlin.

  4. Default More on Lake Havasj

The basic question is: is it practical to rent a small houseboat for a few days and sleep aboard without getting into trouble. Thinking 3-4 days. I live in vegas so i'm nearby.

    Default "Getting into trouble"

    Russ,

I am not sure what kind of trouble you are envisioning -- but renting a houseboat during spring break is certainly safe. It won't be quiet nor inexpensive -- this is peak time for boat rentals -- but the scenery (human and geographic) will be great.
