    haha...yeah, small towns in Utah are killer about speeding. They make half their revenue from nabbing tourists who happened to miss the one sign alerting the change in speed limits (so, if it makes you feel any better, your $100+ ticket is probably funding their next 4th of July parade. :P)

    I live in Utah, so it's always fun to read the responses from people who visit! sounds like a great trip, I love Moab as well.

    As a note, just passed through Escalante today. Didn't get a ticket, but someone else was being written up as I passed (doing the limit, I saw this thread) ;)

    Probably the same jerk who wrote me up. :)

    I'm glad my caution of Utah small towns helped somebody out from contributing to their revenue.
