NJ to FL

Hi all. New here. My boyfriend and I are planning a road trip from here in Trenton, NJ to New Port Richey, FL. Had a few places in mind to stop -- Washington DC, Williamsburg, South of the Border, Atlanta... any place else? Any place I just *should not* miss?

Welcome to the RoadTrip America forum! I wish I was an expert on that stretch of countryside, (I'm not) but I can send you in the right direction! Here's a link to a great guide for your route, Drive I-95, that has everything you want to know.

My favorite place on the eastern seaboard (in my limited experience there) is the Outer Banks of NC. It's just the kind of beach I like the best -- although how can you go wrong when you are headed to Florida -- it's not like they don't have plenty of beach there.

One other suggestion, when you are in the Newport News area, check out Yorktown Battlefield. I was awestruck to stand on the same ground as George Washington and Lord Cornwallis on America's real birthday -- the day the British gave up the fight to hang onto the Thirteen Colonies. Bob
