    Hi,

In 2 or 3 weeks you'll have plenty of time to fool around. Of course, as you probably already know, New Orleans is a must see in LA, lots of entertainment of all kinds there. You can easily spend a few days there. Also you might consider taking a route that goes in the bayoulands and cotton plantations across MS and AL, I heard there are a lot of interesting stuff to see out there and I believe there was an article written on that topic on roadtripamerica. You should be able to find the article by doing a little search. There are also some nice beaches along the way, check out Cape Hatteras in NC, you might not be able to swim at that time of the year, but this place offers a great scenery and it must be pretty quiet in the winter. If you prefer touristic areas, Myrtle Beach SC is not bad.

    Have a nice trip!
    Gen:-)
