Am considering doing at least a 2 month cross country (seattle to ? and back) road trip with my 12 year old dog. Any hints from other dog lovers on places to check out and avoid and how to handle hotels, etc. would be appreciated. I'm aware of the major books and sites who advertise dog friendly hotels but I'm not sure how up to date they are. Any positive (or negative) comments are great. Thanks.
