Hello, currently logged on using GlobalStar's Data system. In the Julian, California area with no cellular system coverage,

Had some problems with the laptop, but initial findings place the connecting speeds on a par with using a 14.4K modem and wireline access.

Still unable to access the FTP protocol so guessing access speed very comparable to 3-watt analog on the best days. Now sitting in a vehicle near Lake Mead with no discernible cellular signal and this connection with GlobalStar has been live for 35 minutes.

Still having an "eureka" sort of experience being able to post messages on the web in this relatively pristine and wild natural area.
