Could quite possibly be footprints, if it was mother nature you wouldn't expect the rest of the surrounding snow to be so smooth. Perhaps a bear was enjoying the view or possibly the Maintenance man popped up there to change the camera batteries! ;-)

I have been watching the Web cam posting -- someone keeps pushing out a load of snow on a snocat or skidoo or something -- pile is much taller now.

Here is a close-up of that pile -- see the tracks to the right?

And the atmospheric river (storm) is starting to hit the Yosemite area -- starting to snow now -- will get very heavy snow showers in the next 2-3 hours.

There looks to be a significant amount of snow about to settle on the ground from now, through the weekend and into Monday! Enough to cover those tracks and perhaps even form the 'Hump' to the shape we are more accustomed to seeing!

...WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 4 PM PST FRIDAY
ABOVE 5000 FEET...

* WHAT...Heavy snow expected above 5,000 feet. Snowfall 3 to 4
feet above 7,000 feet. Total snow accumulations 2 to 3 feet
from 6,000 feet to 7,000 feet. Snowfall 1 to 2 feet from 5,000
feet to 6,000 feet. Wind will gust as high as 55 mph on
exposed ridgetops and along the crest.

* WHERE...The Sierra Nevada above 5,000 feet.

* WHEN...Valid from 10 PM PST Wednesday evening until 4 PM PST
Friday afternoon.

* IMPACTS...Travel will be extremely difficult or nearly
impossible. Gusty winds could bring down tree branches.
