A couple of weeks ago I was at the Denver airport and had already sent my carry-on bag and my checked bag through the TSA Security checkpoint when I remembered I still had my tactical knife in my pocket. Actually the scanners alerted me to to this issue.
There was MailSafe kiosk on the other side of the scanner so I went there to remove my knife and fill out the form. But, I had no ID, no phone and, of course, no wallet (since those had already gone through to security), so I entered the ship-to address, and the first four numbers on my credit card and the last four (the only ones I could recall from memory), my cell phone number, and dropped in the knife.
This was a "special" knife to me and I figured it was gone for good.
Imagine my surprise today to receive a call from a number I didn't recognize from North Carolina, followed by a text of the shipping order (sent as a photo) I had filled out.
I called them back immediately, gave them the rest of my credit card info and they promised to ship my knife to me today.
Awesome, awesome news.
