    2) I'm not a huge fan of IE, but after hours and hours of working on the remaining bugs on IE 8.0, I can suggest that if you upgrade to IE 9.0, everything works!
IE9 is only an option for Vista and Win 7. With XP and earlier, use an alternate browser.

Default Tip: Faster way to Close Information Windows

When looking at the information windows on your custom maps (either your own Custom Places or RTA's library of roadtrip attractions) you can either use the little "X" in the top right hand corner of the open information box window or just click again on the flag you used to open the window!

    Much faster!

Default RTA Map Wizard -- works just about anywhere!

One thing I forgot to mention – The RTA Map Wizard software will work anywhere in the world that the Google Map API is supported. The RTA Library of roadtrip attractions is based in North America, but anyone can add Custom Places anywhere. Look at this link:

    And one more in Australia...

    Default June Projects

For June, we are programming a way to add "drag and drop" capabilities so that a route on a map can be moved manually.

Once that is complete, we'll enable a series of RTA library routes (the blue lines) so that members can save those routes and then by using drag and drop create their own versions.

It's a logistically challenging bit of programming. I'll provide status updates as the work progresses.

I am brand new to this site. I was expecting drag and drop for the route. Move it up high on your list of enhancements!

Default Drag and drop -- not likley (sorry)

Sorry, but drag and drop is unlikely to ever be activated again on this site. We experimented with it, but the enabling software is way too clunky. It's just not a part of what we intended when we created this software.

I had even forgotten this thread. Thanks for the reminder that this was still listed as an open item.

    Default Elevation Enabled on Maps

The Elevation Tool has been reintroduced to the RTA Custom Maps. It works on Advanced Maps, Map Wizard (on desktop monitors) and Map Wizard on mobile devices.

    Thumbs up Good work.

You guys and gals have been real busy lately with all the updates! Pleased to see the elevation feature back, I had missed it.

Thankee kindly. Still much to be done. But things are moving along.

Did you notice that this version of the Elevation Tools works much better?
