Hey,
I'm a 26 year old Belgian bloke planning a road trip in the states in 2 weeks.
As I can't find any friends who can accompany me for 3 weeks in May or early June, I wanted to check if there are any enthusiasts over here.
I'm renting a muscle car (Mustang convertible) and driving from the west coast to the east.
It takes of in San Francisco, via LA to Vegas to have a spin at the roulette wheel, the grand canyon, following the old route 66 to Chicago, the Niagara falls, NYC and ultimately DC. Although the route can/may change a bit.
I speak Dutch, French and English very fluently, my German and Spanish is terrible nowadays. I've travelled all over the world, from camel back rides in the Sahara, scuba diving in the Caribbean, fast boating in the Gulf of Mexico and snow scooter trips in Canada to luxury vacations in 5 star hotels and hectic city trips but before I get to old and grumpy, I wanted to cruise the states in a cool car.
If you like what you're reading, get back to me!
First we get to know each other a little better and take it from there.
If you need a flight to SF or back from DC or NYC, I still have an extra United Airlines voucher worth 150 dollars you can use for free as I can't combine them when I fly back to Europe. We should discuss the details and how to split the costs (car, fuel, accommodation…) but I’m prepared to take the majority of the costs. I'm staying in hotels/motels and don't mind sharing the room.
So, if you are interested to go on a fantastic road trip and the above is OK with you, let me know!
I will provide all the details you may require (e.g. passport and driving license copy to verify my ID; I can also provide a reference through a
female New Yorker who accommodated me in her NYC apartment for a week in 2007 so you can contact her to ask questions about me if necessary).
Alex.
