Biography:

Journalist/writer in Washington, D.C., area. It's a fairly interesting career - I have covered presidential campaigns and tornado disasters, flown in hot-air balloons and open-air stunt planes, and met people such as Howard Zinn, Robert Redford, George W. Bush and Oprah. Besides writing articles mostly for newspapers, I have had several books published. The latest is called Walking through the Wall, a memoir on a long walk project across the US and Europe during the Cold War 1980s. I am divorced but share custody of two great kids.
