      The Finger Lakes District offers a showcase of New York State wineries, followed by the Garlic Festival at Penny Yan and grape stomping, polka contests at the German festitval in Interlaken.

      Finger Lakes Wine Festival

      Description: Offering the largest showcase of New York State wines, the Finger Lakes Wine Festival features over 80 wineries paired with regional artisans, music, culinary classes, and breweries all in one event. Friday night kicks off with the Yancey’s Fancy Cheese Launch of the Lakes toga party, with a Great Western Chardonnay Champagne Brunch in the morning, and the Taster’s Banquet in the evening. Live music, gourmet foods, and pace car rides will be available around the historic racetrack, Watkins Glen International.

      18th Annual Garlic Festival at Fox Run Vineyards
      Location: Penn Yan, NY
      Price: Free
      Description: Garlic will be the guest of honor at Fox Run’s two-day festival featuring over 30 vendors offering their freshest products including not only garlic foods and products, but also homemade ice cream, hot sauces, marinades, maple syrup, cheese, jewelry, and locally roasted coffee. Guests can view glass blowing demonstrations, listen to live music, and indulge in garlic inspired dishes paired accordingly with Fox Run Vineyards hand-crafted wine.

      German Festival
      Location: Interlaken, NY

      Description: To kick off the harvest season in true fashion, the 13th Annual German Festival features award winning Rieslings and Gewurtztraminer from Lucas Vineyards. The event includes live music by The Enzian Bavarian band and dancers, grape stomping, polka contests, balloon art, face painting, and costumes. Local vendors will be there selling German food, gourmet chocolate, wine ice cream, and much more.
