Rising 4,784 feet above sea level, Brasstown Bald is Georgia's highest mountain and Union County's top scenic wonder. From the observation tower atop Brasstown Bald you can see four states. The museum atop the mountain tells the history of Georgia's mountains and the role that the National Park Service played in developing Brasstown Bald. Exhibits range from the Cherokee myths about the balds to animated exhibits about rangers who worked there.
If you go:
Visitor Center and Day Use Area have a $7 fee for 16 years and older. It includes entrance fee and shuttle fee. Hours of Operation are 10:00am to 5:00pm seven days a week.
