One of the largest teddy bear companies in the country, Vermont Teddy Bear is certainly one of the most fun to visit. A tour guide will give you a behind-the-scenes look at how the company's distinctive stuffed animals are made. Not just teddy bears, but monkeys, koalas, giraffes, unicorns and many other adorable beasts, some for special occasions. You'll get a brief overview of the company's history and see some of its past models as well as prototypes for past or future releases, and even see the bear makers putting together the products. It's a very entertaining tour with a great deal of humor, especially every bear pun you ever could imagine. You'll even see the bear hospital, where customers send in their damaged stuffed animals to be repaired or replaced. Don't neglect to browse through the gift shop at the end, because you likely will see some more things that will make you smile.
