      If you're new to Portland, you can get a good overview of the city's rich culture and history through this easy three-hour walking tour provided by a highly knowledgeable and personable guide. Learn about some of the city's famous natives and residents, including John Ford and Henry Wadsworth Longfellow, as well as significant buildings, statues and other landmarks. And inevitably, of course, you'll also learn a little about the community's connection to the vital lobster industry. There is ample time on the tour to sit and rest while listening to your fascinating guide, who can also expertly answer your questions, including recommendations for dining and nightlife.

      Address given is the starting point of the tour, at the Lobsterman statue. Tours are offered twice daily June through November, with weekend tours in April and May. Reservations required.
