If you're like most Americans, you take cranberries for granted, at least until Thanksgiving. But they have a rich history, especially on Cape Cod. And you can learn more fascinating facts than you ever imagined about how they are grown and how they came to be here by taking this one-hour tour of a working cranberry bog, guided by an experienced and knowledgeable cranberry grower with some 80 acres on the Cape. Depending on the season, you may see the berries blooming or ripe for harvesting. You'll see some of the equipment used in their growing and harvesting as well as perhaps some of the equipment used in the past. And you just might spot some interesting birds or other wildlife in the process.
