Confluence Point marks the spot where Mississippi and Missouri Rivers meet. The spot holds great historic significance as it was the starting point for Lewis and Clark's 1804 exploration of the Louisiana Territory. The state park is also one of the best spots in the area for bird watching, including bald eagles.

      If you go:
The confluence point is reached by a 1/4 mile walk from a parking area. The park is free and open from 8 am to a half hour after sunset.
