Follow the short, unpaved road that leads west off Badwater Road a few miles north of Badwater Basin and you will arrive at one of the park's more remarkable natural features, an other-worldly landscape consisting of thousands of jagged clusters of salt crystals. So called because "only the devil could play golf on such rough links" Devil's Golf Course is an ancient salt lake that has been eroded into this dramatic-looking terrain by wind and rain.
