      Whale Watch Zodiac
The Whale, Sea Life and Shark Museum in Depoe Bay is the place to start your whale watch experience. Board a six- to ten-passenger zodiac for an ocean adventure with famed oceanographer Carrie Newell to see gray whales up close and personal. Trips last 1-2 hours and sightings are numerous. Allow time to visit the museum and watch the pre-board video. Fees are reasonable for the trip and discount coupons are sometimes available.

      If you go:
Call ahead a day or two for ocean report. Dress warmly, as it gets quite cool on the open ocean. Allow at least three hours.
