Offering dramatic panoramic views over the Coachella Valley and beyond, Keys View is easily accessible via a 20-minute drive up a spur road leading from Park Boulevard. The Salton Sea can be seen to the far left, to the right are the Santa Rosa Mountains. On occasion it's even possible to see Signal Mountain in Mexico, although air pollution means this is rare. It's worth a visit for the view from the car park alone (many think these are the best views in the park) but there's a short loop trail that offers more views.

      If you go:
Look out over the valley floor and the infamous San Andreas Fault is clearly visible. As the interpretive sign explains: "If you stood on this same spot next year you would likely be two inches southeast of where you are now. If you could return here in three million years the same spot would be about 100 miles farther southeast."
