Devil's Lake is a clear, spring-fed lake that is surrounded by 500 foot tall bluffs created by glaciers from the last ice age. The lake is popular for swimming, fishing, and boating. The surrounding bluffs provide unique rock formations and some of the best climbing opportunities in the Midwest. There are also miles trails for hiker and mountain bikers of all skill levels.

      If you go:
Devil's Lake is the most popular state park in Wisconsin, getting more than 1.2 million visitors a year. The park is very busy on summer weekends, and reservations are a must for the campground all summer long.
