This complex actually consists of two distinct areas. The most visible and best known is Front Street, a realistic reconstruction of a wild west street with stores, church, saloon and a private residence, all furnished with period fittings. The main attraction for many is the staged gunfight that takes place twice a day (12 noon and 7pm) throughout the summer. Boot Hill itself - both the world famous cemetery and its associated museum - is located behind Front Street, a short walk up the hill.
If you go:
Summer opening hours are 8am-8pm daily; winter hours are 9am-5pm Monday to Saturday; 1pm-5pm Sunday.
