This historic wooden suspension bridge, built in 1949 and known as the "Little Golden Gate of Arkansas", is a hidden delight along a quiet section of Highway 187 about 10 miles north of Eureka Springs. 554 feet long and only 11 feet wide, Beaver Bridge is a single-lane, wooden construction spanning the White River and is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

For anyone with an interest in pioneer history, the ill-fated Baker-Fancher Party (later murdered in the Mountain Meadow Massacre) crossed the White River here in 1857 as they began their long trek west.
