A classic Colorado ghost town. In the late 1800's, it was a thriving mining town, but the end of the mining boom as well as the harsh conditions that come with being at an elevation of more than 11,000 feet ultimately led to the town being abandoned. The town is now located on BLM land, and visitors can explore the remaining buildings.
