Steeped in the rich history of the west, this Las Vegas was on the Santa Fe Trail and later on the 1926-1937 alignment of Route 66. Visit the historic Old Town Plaza, the center of the original town.

      If you go:
The Plaza is at the corner of SR 65/Hot Springs Blvd and National. Visit also the nearby Santa Fe Trail Interpretive Center and the City of Las Vegas Museum & Rough Rider Memorial Collection. Amtrak's Southwest Chief eastbound/westbound trains make a daily stop in Las Vegas. The Amtrak station is located near the closed Hotel Castaneda, which was built by Fred Harvey.
