Roadtrip #4A - Sedona, AZ and back

Due to the lure of a free week's stay at a timeshare resort, we were able to come back to Sedona for Spring 2009 and get in some more central Arizona hot spots, logging 2,137 miles. We also fit in some southeast AZ locations as well as the capital.
  1. Up on the third floor roof of the Tuzigoot National Monument pueblo, you can see miles of the surrounding area.
  2. Cars of the Verde Canyon Railroad pass over this bridge.
  3. Here we are on one of the viewing cars which allowed us to get an external view of the Verde Canyon.
  4. The double engine helped pull us along the rail on the Verde Canyon Railroad.
  5. The museum in Lowell Observatory showcased some of the original telescopes used, as well as a listing of the historic discoveries made here.
  6. This telescope, found at Lowell Observatory, was constructed in the late 1800s and was shipped by rail. The dome was constructed locally as well.
