Roadtrip #4A - Sedona, AZ and back

Due to the lure of a free week's stay at a timeshare resort, we were able to come back to Sedona for Spring 2009 and get in some more central Arizona hot spots, logging 2,137 miles. We also fit in some southeast AZ locations as well as the capital.
  1. It couldn't have been a more picture-perfect day in Sedona, AZ.
  2. On the walkway to the Chapel, the cactus flowers were in full bloom.
  3. The Honeymoon Cottage overlooking the valley was one of the 10 stops on the Annual Home Tour in Jerome, AZ.
  4. Some of these structures in Jerome, AZ, including the 1898 Connor Hotel lined the main road.
  5. The Chapel of the Holy Cross is one of the prominent locations to visit in Sedona, AZ.
  6. The San Francisco Peaks still had snow on them as we headed on Hwy 89 east of Flagstaff, AZ.
  7. Seņor Quail and his fam crew were scouting for food near our resort in Oak Creek, AZ.
  8. The fire house stands tall in Jerome, AZ.
  9. Our last pueblo for the day was the Wukoki, found at Wupatki National Monument.
  10. This is the main pueblo by the visitor center at Wupatki National Monument.
  11. The Box Canyon dwellings were here on the trail at Wupatki National Monument.
  12. When the clouds look like this, you know there's static in the air. Lightning storms were a part of the day at Sunset Crater Volcano National...

  20. The Walnut Canyon National Monument had high cliffs which made for excellent pueblo dwellings.
  21. On our way back from Flagstaff, this was the view on Hwy 179 heading to our resort.
  22. From a point on the mountain, you could see the entire overlook of Flagstaff, AZ
  23. In downtown Flagstaff, AZ, the Monte Vista overlooks San Francisco street.
  24. All the cactus flowers were in full bloom everywhere you went in Arizona.
  25. Here we are on the top of the Tuzigoot National Monument.
