Roadtrip #6 - Victoria, BC and the Pacific Coast

Straddling Summer/Fall of 2011, we took a jaunt directly north along the Sierra Nevada/Cascades, completely out of our own country for a few days to check out the capital of British Columbia, then coming back down the western coast of the US.
  1. The Astoria Column stands 125 feet tall and gives excellent 360 degree views of Astoria, OR and the surrounding areas

  3. The famous Astoria bridge. You may have seen it in a few 80s movies here and there
  4. Inside Lewis and Clark National Historical Park at Fort Clatsop (replicated of course, but built on the exact same spot as the original)

  13. You'll see these along the dirt road in the Jedediah State Park (part of Redwoods National Park)

  19. We almost went this entire trip without seeing elk. Fortunately we hit it right.
  20. From the summit view, you can see the featured Pinnacles in the National Monument.
