The high peaks of Sierra Nevada, including Mount Whitney (to the right) in California on SR 395
Actually Mt Whitney is not visible in this photo -- it is to the right of the frame, but it's behind that ridge!
I had actually checked up on and double-verified this, because I wasn't sure myself (had thought the peak on the left was "it" until we got back and found out that was Lone Pines Peak), but according to other pictures on the 'net the peak on the right should be Whitney. The proof is the two "needle" peaks just to the left. You can see the resemblance on this NPS page: http://www.nps.gov/seki/planyourvisit/whitney.htm
