For my third major roadtrip in as many years, I once again kidnapped my folks and off we went on a 2,990-mile jaunt to the state of Utah for Spring 2007, where my previous visits only consisted of the section at Four Corners. We also visited a plethora of National Parks, not only in Utah, but in California and Nevada as well.
  1. We passed by Chimney Rock, found in Capitol Reef National Park, UT
  2. Our last viewpoint, which was of course one of the best, was Inspiration Point, found in Bryce National Park, UT
  3. Checking out the Sipapu Bridge in Natural Bridges National Monument, UT
  4. The Hite Crossing bridge on Hwy 95 spanning the Colorado River in the Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, in south central Utah
  5. A view of the Colorado River from one of the Hite viewpoints in Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, UT
  6. That's about as close as I could get to the Delicate Arch, found in Arches National Park, UT
  7. I tried to get a group shot of some of these natural structures, including the Three Gossips, in Arches National Park, UT
  8. The Owachomo National Bridge, located at the Natural Bridges National Monument, in Utah
  9. The Three Gossips inside Arches National Park, UT
  10. The famous Balancing Rock in Arches National Park, UT
  11. One of the Windows segments of Arches National Park, UT
  12. A distant view of the Green River Overlook in Canyonlands National Park, UT
  13. Looking off to the east of Grand View Point in Canyonlands National Park, UT
  14. Part of the Grand View Point Overlook in Canyonlands National Park, UT
  15. View from the Mesa Arch trail in Canyonlands National Park, UT
  16. The Mesa Arch in Canyonlands National Park, UT. I wouldn't recommend standing under it. It's a long way down.
  17. We made the strenuous hike up to the Upheaval Dome in Canyonlands National Park, UT. It took a few bottles of water, but we made it to the top.
  18. The Mormon Temple in Temple Square, Salt Lake City, UT
  19. The Salt Lake Assembly Hall located in Temple Square in Salt Lake City, UT
  20. The inside of the Mormon Tabernacle, listening to the Mormon Tabernacle Choir during one of their Sunday morning tapings. Talk about perfect timing.
  21. Wheeler Peak, located in the Great Basin National Park in Nevada.
  22. A view of the drought-stricken Salt Lake in Utah. I had to walk several hundred feet out on the shore before I reached the brine shrimp-laden waters.
  23. A glimpse of the capitol building in Salt Lake City, UT
  24. A distant view of Boundary Peak, the highest point (13,000+ feet) in Nevada, on Hwy 6 near the California border
  25. The long tunnel that leads you out of the Lehman Caves in Great Basin National Park, NV. If they don't already, ask the tour guide to slam the exit...
