Shawnee Mountain Ski Area - East Stroudsburg, Pennsylvania

A fixture in the beautiful Pocono Mountains for more than 40 years, Shawnee offers skiing, snowboarding and snow tubing, as well as lessons, equipment rentals, and special activities and events. It's a family-friendly facility especially suitable for beginners at snow sports. In the off-season, the site hosts special events such as the Celtic Festival and the Mud Run. Several dining options on site, and a variety of lodging choices are close by.

If you go:
Open at least until 9:00 PM every day in season, and until 10:00 on Friday and Saturday. Babysitting services available until 5:00 PM. Be cautious about using GPS coordinates or Google Maps to get to this place, as the results may not be accurate. Your best bet is to take exit 309 off I-80 and follow the signs you'll see on 209 North.
