On Assignment in the NicoVan
FEBRUARY
19, 1997 TO JANUARY 1, 1998
In 1997, we conducted two tours in the NicoVan, a joint project of the American Cancer Society and SmithKline Beecham Consumer Healthcare. Beginning in February, we toured over 70 U.S. cities and conducted over 140 consumer and media events. We've driven extensively in metropolitan areas from coast to coast, and conducted events in such venues as Times Square, Andrews Air Force Base, the Rose Bowl, and the Chicago Air & Water Show. We've faced every possible weather challenge— even tornadoes didn't stop our appearances in Detroit!
As spokespersons for Nicorette, NicoDermCQ, and the American Cancer Society, we dealt with every form of media, including television, newspaper, magazine, radio and online services. We represented our clients in numerous television appearances and radio broadcasts.
In 1996, we conducted a twenty-city promotional tour for RoadTripAmerica in the Phoenix One, our own high-profile vehicle. Rubenstein & Associates, New York, handled the publicity, which included coverage in People Magazine, the Los Angeles Times, and the New York Times as well features on C|Net and MSNBC. RoadTripAmerica appeared on local and network television and radio broadcasts across the country and was featured in numerous metropolitan newspapers.
In 1999, we conducted a coast-to-coast book tour for Roads from the Ashes.
