This mural is painted on a 1.2 million gallon water
tank on the grounds of the Space Murals Museum, a small
private air and space museum located near Organ, New
Mexico. The mural depicts the history of the U.S. space
program from the early flights of the X-15 to the fatal
accident of the Challenger Space Shuttle. The mural
also includes the names of several of the flight teams.
We do not know the name of the muralist, but will
update this entry if you send us that information.
