Hey Joey,
Just looked into your route. I was trying to find out more states that you wont touch :D. Looks like you planned pretty well.
have fun.
Cool
Joey, it just dawned on me -- the LV office of RTA will be closed while you are here as Megan and I will be in Walla Walla, Washington on a road trip...Quote:

Las Vegas: So much to see and do -- two restaurant suggestions -- not likely to ever find in a guide book. Best Ribs -- GeeBees on Las Vegas Blvd near Windmill. Best $3 hamburger -- been serving them up in the same way since the early 1950's with a huge order of fries -- The Dispensary on the SE corner of Eastern and Tropicana.
Sorry we will miss you.

Hey all,
Just wanted to update you. After a few delays we were finally able to kick off the excursion. Writing this from Las Vegas using my cell phone to connect.
Mark, we did in fact eat at the original Del Taco. Bigger (and more expensive) food but it's way better than the chinsy stuff we get on the extreme west coast. We also went to the train depot (since my buddies ARE train freaks). Good stuff.
Unfortunately we didn't get into Vegas until almost 11pm, so not too much to do. We have to be off this morning, but it was nice to see the new stuff.
Thanks again everyone!
Greetings roadtrippers,
It has been 2 weeks since we left for our excursion, and we are approaching the half-way marker. Thought I would update everyone that everything has been mostly good so far. The sights we have seen have been nothing short of fabulous.
For those of you that haven't been reading the updates, we've had a mishap here and there. The most prominent was the flat tire that took almost 2 days to replace because the type of tire was very rare. That's really the only problem with the transportation thus far.
There have been other delays and changes to the route which have erased our 2 day cushion already, so we have no more room for error. That's kind of alarming to me, but I really can't spend all my time worrying about it. The current goal of all 48 states isn't in danger yet, and we've already completed more than half of them.
However, I've had to move on in certain places where I would have liked to spend more time, but that's the way it goes. I can always come back.
For those who wish to view the blogs and pics thus far, you can find it here:

It's not too late to still send tips for the places we haven't been to yet. We are hitting New York in the next 48 hours so that will be the current highlight until we get out of the northeast.
See you soon.
It's a rare trip when everything goes according to plan -- that's part of the "fun." Even though it may not seem so at the time! Keep 'em coming, and good luck on being able to do all 48! I'm out on a 10 day motorcycle trip as of this morning, so maybe we'll pass on the road. I'm the guy in yellow and black leathers with bugs on his teeth! Bob
