Nicest view of Knight's Ferry
Don,
That might be the nicest view of the Knight's Ferry Bridge I've ever seen. The construction technique IS very similar -- I wonder if it was built by the same company?

....all the gas blew east up-canyon.
And it didn't dissipate over that distance -- Yeah, that would have been very surprising to be swimming in the pool and getting gassed.
Hint #2: The Knight's Ferry Bridge is two years older than the subject of this puzzle.... and they share at least one more common element....

Staying with bridges for a bit...
What is this bridge, where is it, and what role did it play in history?

A Bridge, A Tunnel, A Road and.... Rocks!
Sticking to the theme, (albeit, slightly expanded...) I've always loved this shot...

Where is this? What's the name of the tunnel? (Actually, I don't even know that...So, instead, what is the general area called?)
Hint #1: It's located in a memorable state park....

My first "spot" - and it's South Dakota
... or, to be more precise, the Iron Mountain Road in the Black Hills, and this particular tunnel (no, I can't find a name either) is aligned to frame the faces of Mount Rushmore.
OK, my turn. Location please, and what makes this particular building famous?

Sure, let us twist in the wind longer...
We can take it!
Looks like a big wide river in the Northwest... Columbia?
Wow, Which direction is that?
Wild, I never imagined that view was possible from the river.

Forts, battlescenes and this place....
This view is a bit tricky -- but if you look at the hills, you might get a clue...

Where is this?
Once, a long long time ago....

I used to be a field support person for a mainframe software company; my territory covered most of the West. I had some doozy locations to get to: including Ilwaco WA (where a telephone company used to be before relocating to Vancouver WA).
Only reasonable way to get there was to fly to PDX, rent a car, and drive for 2-3 hours to the Long Beach peninsula. Would alternate between the OR and WA side to keep things different.
I guess the view on those drives still lurks in the back of my brain somewhere.
You are one diligent "tip of the tongue" road tripper!
Don,
That's pretty amazing! Good Job....
Lest we not forget this one....

Well, it is in Washington, DC -- Excellent work! But it is the National Art Gallery....

Reminds me of Frank Lloyd Wright...

Well, I need another clue -- what state is this in? Or something else illuminating....
