This beautiful mural was completed on April 22, 2006. It's on the west wall of the building at 73484 Twentynine Palms Highway in downtown Twentynine Palms, California. Beyond the vivid colors and large scale, I really liked that the artists provided a key for identifying the various plants and animals depicted in this magnificent mural. The official nickname for the city of Twentynine Palms is "an oasis of murals." Detailed and colorful murals depicting historical and natural environment themes can be seen throughout the city.

Twentynine Palms is the gateway city to Joshua Tree National Park, the Mojave Desert. It's also home to a large Marine Corps training facility.

Update 1/27/25: We are not sure this mural is still there, but there are several in the area. If you visit this location and find that the mural is still there, please contact us at rta@roadtripamerica.com and we will update this page. We hope you enjoy viewing these mural pages as much we did when we originally found them. – RTA Writers Group.
