What a long, strange trip it's been!
Greetings, all! In many ways, it's hard to believe that 25 years have slipped by since Mark and I watched roadtripamerica.com "go live" on a monitor in an office in Pasadena, California. It felt important enough that we celebrated with a cake, but we never could have predicted what the next quarter-century would bring. It did feel exciting, though. I felt like I always do at the beginning of a road trip. I might have plans, and even an itinerary, but the thrill comes from knowing, even before the rubber hits the road, that it'll be the unexpected and unplanned things that will make the journey an adventure.
Thank you all for joining that adventure. I'm looking forward to sharing stories on Sunday. It was serendipitous that RoadTrip America was born on Valentine's Day, but it's one of my favorite coincidences.
Pat Mount is on the trail someplace today!

We have thought about hosting a Zoom call where anyone could join in and share some roadtripping tall tales. The tricky part is finding a time that works in North America, Australia and Europe at the same time.
Anyone have suggestions or even an interest in talking to your fellow road trippers on the 14th of February?
Perhaps, we'll just post messages here.
I will go first....
I'll be joining, circumstances (and wife) permitting.
