LAS VEGAS, NEVADA
You'd need at least a dozen honeymoons to begin to discover the wonders of Las Vegas. Every few months, another marvel of architecture and neon has set a new size and glitz record.
The building frenzy means that hotels that would set the standard anywhere else are endangered here, especially if they're taking up valuable space on the Strip. The Hacienda, for example, closed its doors November 30, and it's been sentenced to death by implosion on New Year's Eve. It won't be mourned for long. A bigger, better hotel will be built on the same spot. It should be done in time for your next honeymoon!
