    Default Update!

    Hi Steve

Quick update. We arrived in Denver (in the snow!) on Monday. Headed down to Colorado Springs on Tuesday, we liked Colorado Springs a lot and the Garden of the Gods is stunning. On Wednesday we had planned to stay in Gunnison but when we arrived there was not much to see so we pushed on to Ouray, which is a lovely little town (330 miles on Wednesday) Thursday we drove along the stunning Million Dollar Highway to Durango which is a very attractive town. We decided to push on to Santa Fe so travelled 300 miles again yesterday. Santa fe was not really our cup of tea (very busy, lots of expensive shops etc) so we have come to Las Vegas in New Mexico for a night. It's ok but more run down than we were expecting. Tomorrow we are going to set off on Route 66 to Albuquerque.

Our plans after this are a night in Gallup, one night in Sedona, One night at the Grand Canyon, a night somewhere between the Grand Canyon and Vegas, two nights in Vegas (hooray!) a night at Zion Canyon, One night at Moab and then back to Colorado Springs with a night somewhere in between before going back to Denver for our flight home.

Still very jetlagged but we are having a great time, it is a stunning area!

Sounds like you're having a great trip! Santa Fe isn't my cuppa tea either. I can't figure out the attraction of that place! If you have time, you should try to get to Taos. I think you'll like it.

Enjoy the rest of your trip. I look forward to further updates!
