Road trip from Portland OR to Reno NV

Hello,
I like to take a road trip from Portland Oregon to Reno NV. with my families (3 kids) . Any interesting places to visit along the way? We have about 10 days and wanted to camp out or stay in the motel. Any help would be appreciated!

McArthur-Burney Falls State Park is a beautiful area with a nice campground. Also Lassen Volcanic National Park is nearby with campgrounds and interesting sites to see.
