purpose-driven road trip
I'm not sure if this is the right place for this post...or if there is a right place. I've just returned from my latest trip. The trip itself occurred on the beaten path, but the purpose behind it was not. I normally pick the smallest road on the map and wander aimlessly. For this one, I combined my love of road tripping and public art with a social issue and came up with ArtCarTraz. I bought a car and had offenders at juvenile correctional facilities paint each section while traveling, en route from Montgomery, AL to Houston, TX. I then entered the car into the art car parade and we won 1st place! Anyway, here's a link to my photosite if anyone's interested in checking it out.
Also a Quest-Style of road trip
Any reason to undertake a road trip is a good one. Other Quest-type journeys are described here.
