Yosemite to LV with stopover
We are planning to travel from Yosemite to Las Vegas as part of our road trip at the End of April/early Mat. Staying at the West entrance to Yosemite, we then plan to travel to LV via Death Valley with one night stop on the way.
Any suggestions about the route or where to stay on the way?
Tioga Pass Closed
Tioga Pass (Hwy 120) through Yosemite will be closed for the winter at this time of the year. You will need to take Hwy 99 down to Bakersfield. Then take Hwy 58 to Mojave and then head back north on Hwy 14.

JOSIE: How was your road trip?
Did you end up taking this trip? How did it go with regards to road closures in Yosemite and what route did you take? I'm interested as I'm planning the same trip in 2006 during April/May. What was the weather like? I'll be travelling from Australia so any info you could give me would be appreciated.
