New Jersey to Arizona/New Mexico

Hi,
My 3 friends & I are planning on driving to Arizona/New Mexico this year..Hoping for some advice with when a good time of year to go is..What type of vehicle is sufficient..How long it takes..And also some suggested stops and beautifiul sights and places to see..I have seen many pics of these states and they seem wonderful to visit..

April or October are my two favorite months for just about anything -- and you'll find the weather and the skies in the west just about perfect. In high country, you can still find snow-blocked roads in April, but most areas of Arizona and New Mexico will be open. Use the search function here on the forum and you'll find dozens of suggestions for things to see in these two states! Bob
