    Default NYC to San Francisco in 15 foot truck in January

    We need to transport our furniture in a Penske truck starting mid January. We are considering I80 due to the shortest distance, but I am concerned about the winter weather conditions. Alternatively we could via I40 but that would take another day. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

    Default Trucker's Choice

    It all depends on the current weather conditions (when you will be on the road) but generally truckers prefer I-80 over I-40 during the winter months.
